I have it on very good authority that Saudi Arabia is about to move over from Left-hand-drive to Right-hand-drive.

However, in in the interests of avoiding people incurring massive costs getting steering/dashboard changed over, and also to enable drivers to get used to the idea, it is planned to introduce the new system on a phased basis over 5 years.

This gradual transition has already been taking place on many Saudi roads for some time. Indeed, I have observed it myself.

To avoid confusion, you should probably do like the locals and just drive down the middle of the road. You may continue to slow down for red lights. Flashing your headlamps spasmotically while approaching may be an alternative.

If you're in the market for a vehicle, I'd recommend a twenty-year old GMC Suburban, thoroughly banged up and without a muffler, turbocharged.
