oaxaca sounds great. the weather and the natural beauty. anyone know how easy it would be to get a job there? i could afford to take a month or so to find one. i have a tefl certificate, an unrelated masters degree, and i need to make enough to support myself but i don't need to save money
(and, yes, i'm pretty frugal) |

I take it you mean Oaxaca City and not Oaxaca state.
One of my current co-workers came here to the coast from the city about a year ago. She loved living there, but was constantly scrambling for teaching gigs and could never earn more than 5000 pesos a month.
If you mean the state, there are some decent-paying university jobs scattered throughout many small towns in the mountains, the isthmus and the coast. |
