|
|
Hey
have any teachers from the UK ever tried to credit their bank account in the UK with money they're earning from working in Europe? I'm teaching in Spain and have a weighty overdraft in my UK a/c that needs some attention.
As far as i can work out the only way to credit my a/c in England with euro earnt in Spain is by money transfer which has to be paid for each time.
If anyone knows of another way, preferably free of charge, then it'd be great to hear it.
Thanks, |

You should be able to send money quite cheaply through internet banking.
Why not ask your bank about it? |

Another option is to open a paypal account for each of the bank accounts. Then all you need to do is pay yourself. I'm in a similar situation and this works pretty well for me.

Thanks, that looks like it could be useful PT. However, their website doesnt appear to provide too much detail about how it works. For instance, how to transfer money from a bank a/c in Spain to my bank a/c in the UK.
Any advice here would be very welcome.
Thanks again. |

Transfer money from Spain to England? Do you have a bank account in both countries? If so, within Europe you can simply transfer money by using your bank accounts, all you need are the IBAN (international bank account number).
The IBAN are usually printed on your bank account slips, the printed ones you get (if you still get them). |

You'll need two email addresses. Create one English paypal account connected to one of the addresses and then create a Spanish one connected to the other. Then all you need to do is add funds to the Spanish account and then pay your English account. If the Spanish account won't let you add funds then you can just use a credit or debit card that you link to the account. Hope that helps,
