If you live like that Alex, can I have a job where you are and can I move in with you :P ?

A school in Warsaw is looking for teachers right now. The place is called "Mike Mills English" and they pay PLN 55 per 45 minutes after tax.

No point in me mailing you. I'm not recruiting for that school (or any school). I'm not in any way connected with that school. I'm just passing on information from an advert which I saw. Get in touch with the school yourself if you want to work for them.

Alex here in Poznan a teaching hour is 45-50 minutes. So when you say that you work 20 hours that means you only have 15 hours of actual class time, but are paid for 20. I like the mathematics in Poznan.

Wow, I also like the maths you quoted for Poznan.

Torun's about 37p/h, unless you work at the uni, but I'm paying my own tax and ZUS...

In other matters, anyone got any good ideas for Summer work? I'm at a loss. [Have PL citizenship, and a business, so that's occasionally a plus.]

So is the Praga side of Warszawa really as bad as ppl say? Going there during 'winter break' next month to check on some family matters... looking forward to the challenge, but then I lived in Lodz, and everyone considers it awful...

Razz

Oh, As to the matters at hand, I also think that 2800, even if they pay tax and have given you accommodation... is there any news on whether you have to pay bills there? In my experience, the apartments aren't great...

Praga's ok. There's just a couple of streetes that are best avoided at night. Some quite nice parts also.

yeah, speed-typing and dropped a letter there...

In all seriousness, Praga isnt a place Ive ventured into much. It's not as brutal as it's made out to be, but the area is lacking major investment and is decaying rather heavily in places. Then again, wise investors could probably buy and refurbish a whole block for a decent profit, considering Warsaw's current property market...
