Post Graduate Certificate in TESOL. Full time one semester course in ESL theory and methodology. Can be done part time and externally. A superior qualification to a CELTA, and later on you could build it to Diploma or Masters in TESOL. |
Do you know which schools offer the option to study externally? |

I'm sorry you couldn't understand my last post. I only ever get to sit down at the computer late at night. Please excuse my exhaustion.
Q: Can I get a job with a three-year diploma + one year of Arts, and a TESOL cert issued 1999?
Thanx |

see my other post. You need a BA or a BS degree to get a work visa in Asian countries. This is an immigration/visa requirement. |

Do China or Indonesia count as Asian countries? They do not require bachelors degrees. Yes, there's some talk that that's changing slowly in China, but you can still find teaching without a degree.
And Indonesia, no problem at all if you have a certificate of some type. |

If China is not in Asia then the Pope isnt Catholic. Shanghai is about an hour away by plane from mainland Japan.
Indonesia is in Southeast Asia. Asia stretches from Mongolia and Siberia/russia in the north to Singapore Thailand in the South.

If its an Education Diploma, yes for China.
And I knew people with diplomas in other disciplines, plus a TEFL, who had uni jobs.
Go for it. |
