Cheap dorms in HCMC
I'm looking for dormitory accomodation in HCMC. I prefer a central location close to the ESL centers. I plan to school hop and look for a job upon arrival. What's a cheap dorm ($2-5/night) in HCMC?
Note:
I'd be willing to pay a bit more if simple breakfast and broadband internet was included in the price. |

There are no YHAs in Vietnam but there are many cheap guesthouses and mini-hotels. A centrally located, ensuite room with air-conditioning costs around US$7-$15, regardless of the number of people sharing the room. Dont be afraid to haggle, particularly if you are travelling alone! |

You do realize the post is about HCMC (and not Hanoi), right? |

There are some very cheap guest houses in the side alleys off of Bui Vien in HCMC that you can find for 4-5$ a night, but you are getting just the basics. 2$ is a bit unrealistic. Your also looking for a guesthouse, not a dormatory. I am not aware of any dormatory style living here at all. |
