Hi,
You can get a minibus from sai kung to dundas st not far off nathan road from sai kung town (down fuk man rd past the duke of york and take a left.
Otherwise a cab is 250-300 hkd.
Other option is get a bus to choi hung or even diamond hill and tube it.
Pretty much viable to live in one and work in the other a lot of the expats in sk do just that and its about 40 minutes or so.
Village houses were always about 7-8 but the ones i lived in were two beds and use of the roof which is always worth paying the extra for in mho.
There are small chinese houses for rent at roughly half that or you could always live on a junk boat as some do.
Pop into the duke or steamers bar just up the road and get chatting so someone and they should be able to point you in the right direction either through the grapevine or by reccing a good and realiable local agent.
