wanting to go to chile in july. i have no tefl cert, but i do have a degree and experience. i have a friend who taught in equador w/o having a tefl cert and she didnt have a problem finding work. how are my chances w/ argentina, peru, or chile in the july? |

Well, in Latin America, you will have no problem getting a job without a TEFL Certificate and that includes Chile. You do need to be prepared though and some experience teaching is a great idea. Barring that, you might want to find a few book son TEFL teaching at a local library and read them so at least you have a general idea of what you are doing.
When I first went to Mexico, I was told that I had a couple of options, get a great job first and lose it because I didnt have enough experience to teach it well or go with a lower job, get some experience then try for one of the great jobs. Good advice then as now. |
