Word of mouth so far has been that Japan is the friendliest place for white guys looking for a girlfriend/mate. Any opposing opinions?
Not having lived anywhere in Asia other than Hanoi, all i can advise is staying away from that city (unless you are after cheap prostitutes, in which case its perfect) |

How cheap is cheap? 
Japan is great for a white guy. I dont know anybody here who doesnt have a girlfriend. Cant say that about my friends back home. Ironically I dont know what is the cause of success here. Some great looking guys seem to do poorly here while some pretty piggy guys seem to score big time. |

Have you heard how Japan compares to korea or taiwan in this regard? By good looking guys not doing so well, what do you mean by 'not so well?' But pretty much noone single, eh? That sounds good.
I have dated a couple of Japanese girls, but was always confounded by their apparent openness and flirtation, it seems to hide something more complex. I have been told Japan, like most of Asia, is very hierarchical; perhaps a certain amount of reserve, and social maneuvering, is de rigeur? And apparently kissing on the first date is taboo? |
