thought I'd pass this along.

Friend of mine got hired by Score Eng. in Bark. in Dec. The idea was to start in Jan. after the Kurban Bayram.

He turned down offers from other schools in Jan, becz of this agreement.

Well after the Bay. no one was calling him. He called and was told he'd have his schedule the next day. Well for five odd days no one called or returned his calls.

Realising that this was dodgy he tried to move on the other offers but they were gone.

Finally he was told that they didn't need him. They didn't return his calls because they had "lost" his tel. nuber, despite having his CV, number and email. Well an hour later he spoke to the Principal, who told him he had been misinformed and would be given a schedule the next day.

Well for another five days he was messed around. No one would return his calls. Finally after sending an email to the Prinicipal, someone else replied saying that no mornng teachers were needed.

Bear in mind he had been hired specifically to work the morning shift. He had even been told the name of the client and location.

What is terrible is that instead of wasting time in Jan. he could have been working for another school. However, in his zeal to be professional, he tried to honour his agreement. He's lost about 500 YTL after the K. Bay and maybe another thousand for Feb.

I've tried to explain that when dealing with Course schools in Ist., this is the norm. They can't stop calling you when they need you. However, if they don't, you'll find that basic courtesy is not one of their strengths.

I tried to search Score English here, but came up with nothing. Thought I'd pass this little gem along.

Private Language Schools. Forget about ethics or decency. It is about money.

one of the owners of score(who has nothing to do with the everyday running of it) is a friend of mine. If you pm your friends name to me I can find out over the weekend what happened. as an owner I am sure he will be displeased to hear this.
