we all get peeved off every so often. So here is the place to do it. I am especially peeved with the kapaci. He kindly tried to get rid of the snow..... by pouring hot water on it. So now the entrance to my apt. is like an ice rink. |

My Turkish (although sooo much better than two years ago) wasn't enough today to stop the idiot hairdresser for doing that Turkish traditional "get rid of all the hair" thing so the hair will grow "more beautiful".
So my daughter's very first haircut left her looking like a boy and left me in tears.
Everyone tells me "No, no, it's beautiful. He had to do that so the hair will grow better. Her hair was very thin. We always do this."
Meanwhile, my child looks awful. |

Anyway, a few little hair clips fixed the kiddie up and a few glasses of red fixed me up...
A few weeks ago I got my first pay from me new job- the amount per hour was more than twice what it should have been. The number of hours was wrong and the amount in the envelope was more than was written on the envelope. Love that accounting!! I was paid more than twice the correct amount.
If that school happens to go under, I don't think they could blame the economy!
I told the boss about the extra pay. She was very confused and told me to keep it and buy a gift for my baby. But, aren't I nice? I'll be giving it back. I think they need to be protected from themselves.... |

My beef is similair to DMB except nobody even tried to get rid of the snow. People just keep walking on it and it gets slushy and then freezes and slushy and freezes. The big annoyance is that the place is a daycare and my baby is only 8 months old. I live in fear of falling and landing on her.
When we asked why nobody cleaned the side walks the answer was we don't have any "material" to do it. Oooooooook. What about that squeegee thing before the snow gets trampled on the steps??????????????
My university faculty has cleared the steps for my building but the daycare is still icy. GRRRRRRRRRRR |

Usually it's just as cold and nasty in Illinois this time of year, but it was a refreshing 54 degrees today, with no clouds and plenty of sun |
