If this cert is British Council approved and teachers can work in any country then it is the real deal.
If it isn't I suggest people would be better off spending their hard-earned on either a TESOL or CELTA registered course.
BTW who is David Nunan..should I know the existence of this man?? |

My God....how then the mighty have fallen...from hit TV shows and concerts...idolized by millions of screaming young girls to a gig signing quasi TEFL certs in central Thailand!!
How fickle and fragile fame is!! |

OK we are now talking about several topics.
Are TEFL International certificates accepted at the British Council? Yes, as a matter of fact, they are. I just had a nice chat with Alan MacKenzie at British Council in Bangkok and he said they would gladly accept our certs and also recommend other BC centers to do the same. This can be confirmed by contacting him directly.
Officially the BC does not advocate one certificate over another but will accept anything that meets or exceeds international standards.
WHO IS DAVID NUNAN? Thats like being a musician and asking Oasis or a politician and asking who is George W. Bush or Tony Blair. The guy is probably the most published ELT author in the world at the moment.
I did a Google search and came up with 122,000 hits. He has written over 100 books and articles and presented at over 250 national and international conferences. Former President of TESOL. Ths list goes on and on.
Finally here are the names of some people who have recently completed the PELT.

| Pretty sure the BC wouldn't/won't accept this online/distance PELT course. The proper course ones are though. Not this course though. |
