You are too young, sorry. But, if you start working at it now, by 18 you'll be ahead of most others your age. You could start by volunteering, by picking up and studying as much reading material on ESL as you can, or you may even consider studying abroad.
The only thing you might be able to get into right now is teaching ESL online...look around and see. |

I have to repeat the question...
Why are you posting this on a forum meant for teachers in foreign countries? You said "anything" is ok, but are you seriously considering teaching ESL/EFL or something related at your age? Sounds a bit strange to be posting here for something else. |

I started work at 15 by standing in a town centre handing out leaflets advertising the now defunct 'Picture Palace' an innovative (at the time) photographic processing shop.
It was a c.r.a.p job, the pay was c.r.a.p and i got loads of complaints from irate shopkeepers incensed at all the leaflets dropped by the Great British Public blowing into their shops.
I had to wear a US Baseball style jacket advertising the shop too...how embarassing!!
On the plus side I fell in love/lust with one of the Picture Palace shopgirls (but obviously not her with me)...she must have been 22 or 23 then..so about mid forties by now!
My God she was beautiful and all the indignities of the job paled into insignificance everytime i went back to the shop for a break and set eyes upon her.
Together with Miss Hughes the luscious blonde History teacher at my secondary school who everyboy fantasised about this Picture Palace girl was my first real crush!!
So my advice young men of the world...is aged 15...get a job..it may be c.r.a.p but don't worry as there could be a strong possibility you get to meet/talk with a stunning lady who you will never ever forget!! |

Nice story
One of my first jobs at age 15 was at a movie theatre. I worked there part time right through high school. Free movies, free popcorn, got all my friends in free to see flicks...a good first job thinks I. |

My first job was making wooden rulers, in a HOT factory, with men with lots of missing teeth (and fingers). Bought me my first professional camera though, and started me off on an interest that continues to this day. |

Warren Buffet was buying farm land at 16 or 17. Maybe it was 18, I don't know the if one can purchase land as a minor. He bought the land and then rented it to farmers. no wonder he is the second richest man in the world today. |

It also helps when you are young, shy AND broke.
My pocket money had been cut to One pound a week after breaking through the glass to open the backdoor when I forgot my key!!
One pound ..even in 1985..didn't buy much!! |

I think if I were 16 again I'd try to get some money out of these sickos on the interenet I keep hearing about on the news. Then I'd blackmail them to keep sending me money or I'd expose everything.
Too bad no one wants to see a fat 40 year old bald guy naked. I was born too soon ... |

I started working at 14 in the tomato fields of southern Arkansas. It made me appreciate the string of jobs that followed (mostly fast food joints). That was all the encouragement I needed to get my degree! |

I was making about $60 a week tutoring French as a Second Language for $10 an hour when I was 16, so I think it's possible to make a few dollars in language teaching even if you are in your teens.
You're in the position where you can charge a lot less (admittedly for a much lower quality service). Why not put up a few posters around a local university or college and on community boards in churches and grocery stores. There have to be some people who are looking for someone young who would be willing to just speak with them in English and correct a few mistakes for like $10 an hour (like parents of recent immigrants, etc). That's all some people can afford, but no serious ESL teacher is going to accept that kind of money. There may be a market there. |
