I've never really thought about it before. If I ask the Mrs to wear a tie I am wondering what the consequences would be. If I get beaten up whynotme I hold you responsible.

Granted they can look nice in an Annie Hall kind of way, but I'm still glad it's not expected of me to go around half choked in order to look professional...
