Does anyone know how one would go about getting a tourist visa for Vietnam in Singapore? Do you have to deal with the embassy directly or are there any agents to do the work for you as there are in, say, Bangkok, or for that matter once you're in Vietnam yourself? Costs? Time? Thanks for any info. |

You may want to deal directly with the Vietnamese Embassy / Consulate in Singapore for a more professional approach. I take it that you are presently in Singapore?
An alternative is to get your travel agent to do it for you. Cost? Try doing a word search on the net for the Vietnamese Embassy and search the home page for details of cost etc.
Cost also may depend on type of visa and duration of stay.
Those people whom you mention in Thailand no doubt copy important pages of passports for illegal use. It has been done in the past by that group of people. I lived and worked in Thailand for two years and i know that the police turn a blind eye to much activity.
I hope this helps you. |

Hey Ghost Dog - long time no see. Getting a tourist visa for Vietnam in Singapore is easy. Just show up at the embassy. You will need a cab as it is deep in the heart of Nowhereland - in a residential area near the homes of some diplomats. 10 Leedon Park -- 6462 5936 -- as I recall you have to turn in everything one day and pick it up the next. |
