These are the schools I would recommend in Chile as reputable (pay teachers on time, treat teachers well, etc). Some of these schools are more concerned about the certification and experience of their teachers than others. There are many schools in Chile - most of them mom and pop organisations or small with cash flow problems.

The ones I have worked for or have heard good things about are:

Berlitz (follows the Berlitz method..., high rotation of teachers - good for short stays)
Comunicorp (hires only certified and experienced teachers, low rotation of teachers - good for longer stays)
Chileno Norteamericano (Bi-national centre - huge and somewhat impersonal, rotation of teachers, long or short stays)
Chileno Britanico (Bi-national centre)
