Hi,
I'm planning to do a CELTA course in Bratislava this summer, but I have a couple questions. First, will any potential employer view a BS differently than a BA? I have a minor in Linguistics, will this do anything for me? Also, is it possible to apply and search for jobs before the CELTA course is completed? I'm a little worried about getting a certificate in August and trying to get in on the hiring season late.
I am most interested in teaching in Russia (Ukraine and Belarus more, really) although you people make Korea sound like such a teaching paradise that I will likely consider jobs from that area also.
Thank you for your help,
Scott |

Most employers won't care whether it's a BA or BS, but they might care about what the major is in. A minor in Linguistics might give you an advantage over the next guy without such a minor, and that's about it. |
