| As an American I have no problem stating that I am very UNpatriotic and am ashamed of my governments actions involving Iraq and other international debaucles. Most of my reasons are atypical ones so it is pointless to repeat them now. However, how can democracy be forced upon a people? Isn't it - by definition - a choice? Who are we to tell a culture that has survived for thousands of years that they are wrong? |

This has got to be a wind-up..... If you set yourself up as the moral leader of the world, leading us all to a land of honey and sweets, then you have to act as civilized person. You have to show respect for the values you want others to follow.
Who the uncivilized are is an open question. I understand those that hate the present U.S admin. Its one thing to be an ''animal'', but when that

As far as the government of the United States is concerned, I don't agree with most of the things it has done or does. Oh news flash, there was a mudslide in the Phillipines that has killed many people, you knuckle heads will probably blame that on the Americans too. You have evidently confused in your private moral-code the message written above the Old Bailey, London ... it does not read - "Punish the children of the poor and defend the wrongdoer" ...
... after all, what's the beating of prisoners got to do with the lunatics chopping off heads ... even if one were to condone the use of torture ... which seems to come easily to you ... shouldn't that be a condoning of the torture of the wrong-doer ... not simply the torture of any old countryman of a head-chopping wrong-doer ... or neighbouring countrman for that matter ...

Is that free thinking as in 'ignore everything that someone says and insult them instead of trying to build an argument'?
Or is it free thinking as in 'making judgement about things before you have seen any evidence, weighed up any facts etc......'?
Or is it freethinking as in 'idiotic'?

As for prisoners, I'll check in the closets but when last I looked I wasn't holding (and hadn't held) anyone captive ... to the rest of your waffle, I'll let the Turks reply:
