Hi, I've been posting about Peppy Kids Club lately and I'm to give a demo lesson soon. Are there any suggestions of what to include that would make the best impression? Just any general ideas would be incredibly helpful. I want this to be the best demo it can be really. I definitely want to incorporate music! Very Happy

Thank you Smile

Im not sure the age group of your kids at Peppy's but when I first came to japan on working holiday i taught in a kindergarten. The kids always had alot of fun with the "head and shoulders, knees and toes" song. Then again its going to be just you up there isnt it?

Maybe you could fill us in on the environment of your demostration class? Without knowing too much about Peppy Kids I would just suggest being as enthusiastic as possible without overdoing it. Appear non-threatening. I have seen some pretty scary/intimidating types of individuals walk in for an interview for a job that dealt primarily with children.

Will you have real students to teach in front of? Will there be others taking the role of students?

Yes, there will be other applications pretending to be the children so that each student has a "class".

Heads and shoulders, knees and toes sounds like a good choice. I want to be enthusiastic and energetic without being patronising, if you know what I mean. I reeeaaallly want to get this job!
