In reply to the original question I agree with the earlier view that all these people would find work in Thailand.....in fact many of their TEFL sisters and brothers are all here.
Bangkok especially is a true haven for the ' you don't know what you're doing' brigade. |

Hi,
I'm researching this issue, of ELT and ethnicity. I'm interested in the idea (sad reality?) that, when employing native English speakers (so a low IELTS score would not be the issue) ELT employers may prefer white to non-white teachers. I have experience of this in China, and I want to know if (and why?) it is similar/different in the rest of the ELT world.
