I need some help. I am looking for news websites for intermediate ELLs. I like the BBC's Learning English but I am hoping there is a site with longer articles and more of them. I can't think of a equivalent of the BBC in the US or Canada and haven't had any luck w/ the newspaper sites that I've checked. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks

I beleive www.CBC.ca is Canada's public broadcaster.
http://www.voanews.com/specialenglish/index.cfm
Voice of America News is specially written for english learners.

Some offline "news resources" for ESLers I've seen have a definite problems. I once had an article about Occupational Training for inmates in American prisons. A student skimmed it and said, "oh yes, prison labor, we have that in our country!" The article assumed the reader would see the "rehabilitation" in a positive light. I was really embarrassed about it.
