What's with Merweb hotel (Club Nyn), they won't allow single guys to enter, only couples and members.
Single guys need more places to go here in Doha. |

This has been common for a long time around the Gulf. The problem is that with the ratio of men to women, the place ends up completely filled with men. Soon even women with husbands/boyfriends won't show up because the atmosphere becomes very uncomfortable when it is 10 men to every woman.
Check into joining the social clubs or sports groups... The Gulf has never offered much for singles of either sex. (except a quiet life with a good pay package...)

Can you join the rugby club even if you don't play rugby? I would love to play rugby, but I don't have any idea how being an ignorant Canadian, but I want to go to the bar! |

Yip, you can join as a player or a non player. it is definitely worth joining or at least meeting up with a few people who can sign you in. sorry, I can't give you any current contact info as I am longer in Qatar, but ask around and you should be able to find easily.(oh yeah it is the only bar open during Ramadan) |
