Hi everyone,
I'm trying to find some summer work or work/study in China or Korea (available dates from late May through late August). I'm a junior English major at a pretty highly regarded liberal arts school in the US. I have some tutoring and test prep experience, but do not hold any certificates. I also plan to teach abroad for a year or two after graduation, and then go on to grad school.
Any suggestions? I'm having trouble finding openings for people with no college degree. I'd be open to little pay... perhaps doing English tutoring or teaching in exchange for enrollment at a college or language school. I'm proficient in Korean and at a beginning-intermediate level in Mandarin, but could use some work in both. Preferred cities include Seoul, Shanghai, Nanjing, and Beijing. I should probably also add that I am female, and a US citizen of Korean descent.
I appreciate any help, even very general advice!
xMei

Summer camps abound in China. Pay varies, but accommodation and meals are supplied. You'd be up for your own airfare. PM me for details of people who have done this kind of work. I'm not one of them though. |
