VISA'S ?? Visa's what????
anyway, not to be diverted, these are normally fixed by the schools, and I never had a problem with that. A few hours scurrying around after a trip to S'pore, Kantor Immigrasi, fingerprints, local police station, some other police station, and it's all done. (apart from visiting and giving copies to the RT and the village police)
I can never work out why there is no co-ordination between depts there. At one stage all teachers were told to register with their local police. If so, then what gives with all the photos, fingerprinting and yellow booklets, and KIM-S cards? |

|

I posted before about how to evade the FISCAL tax when leaving the country.
1. Walk straight through the 1st set of officials who are there to deal with FISCAL (I think) and walk up to the immigration desks.
2. Hand over passport and tickets etc. When the official asks you for your FISCAL receipt answer "Tidak harus" (Don't must). Then say you are a student of the school on your KIMS (the visa in your passport).
It would seem that anyone under the status of student doesn't pay FISCAL, bule or otherwise and the officials have no way of checking your student status and will have to let you through.
I've done it twice and it's worked no problem at Soekarno Hatta - best keep a couple of bills in the backpocket should any 'lubrication' be required.

There's another way...give a little lining to certain pockets. |
