Hello,

Is anybody aware of any English Language schools, or such like in San Sebastian or the immediate area.

I hope to go there for a month or so in mid to late august as I've some friends from there.

Failing that, any other type of work would also be of interest.

Cheers

M

Do a search of the Paginas Amarillas with "academias ingles" or something similar, and put "san Sebastian" in the "localidad" box: you should get something like this.... http://www.paginas-amarillas.es/resultados.asp?activ=academias+ingles&loca=san+sebastian&pgpv=1&mode=simple

....don't know if this link will work, but you get the idea.

There's an International House there, as well as a bunch of other private schools. Bilbao is fairly close (about an hour away I think) and there's also a few schools in Hondarribia and Irun which are about 30 minutes away.

Cheers,

But teaching work in August is basically non-existent throughout Europe, unless you get hooked up with a summer school. It's holiday month! You might have more luck (especially since it appears you'll just be there a few weeks) to try for bartending or waiting tables or something.

Oh I didn't read that very well.. Yes! There's heaps going on in San Sebastian in August (and through into September as well), but all the schools will have hardly any work, if any at all. I bet you'd be able to get bar work though. How's your Spanish?

My Spanish is a lot worse than it used to be, but then it never was all that great, but hopefully that will change.

Thanks for the info.
