Well I just wanted to thank Kent for meeting me in Bangkok. I just spend two weeks in Bangkok and Laos. I had a great time. I thin Laos is really a hidden treasure. I would love to work there sometime and try to learn Lao.

Anyways I met Kent on Saturday, February 18. He took me to the famous Soi Cowboy. We had a few Changs and a bar that I am not sure if I know what the name is. Interestingly Kent and I have a few things in common. We are both from Pennsylvania and have both lived in Germany. I learned a lot about Thailand from Kent. He must be one of the most knowledgeable people on Thailand and he even got the bus schedule for me. He was a great help and I greatly appreciated his help.

Also a word of advice be careful when coming from the airport. Some services will try to get you to pay 700 Baht to take a taxi from the airport to your hotel. When I returned to Bangkok international airport I learned that the cost with a metered taxi is only 150 Baht.

Kent: A legend in his own time . . .

I thought Soi Cowboy was wiped out by all the construction on that corner, no?

Ha, Kent was not the only one to get wiped out. I think my wallet got a little wiped out as well.
