So i got offered to work at a kindegarten....this is my first job in Taiwan so can I please get some tips about negotiating and what I should ask or expect in my contract!

Do all kindegarten contracts have to be salary pay? I am being offered 60 000 NT for about 22 hours. That is not bad...right? as long as thehours don't increase right? Can I ask that they don't? Because I calculated and it would suck if I got increased to 30 hours.

Any tips will be helpful now! please reply soon! thanks!!

That is not a bad salary though per hour would be better. You lose 60,000 over one year on a salary, if there aren't any benefits. Make sure it states 22 hours. Check which hours they are too. Four hour lunch breaks suck.

I used to love long lunch breaks. You could get your shopping done and or have a nap. Teaching at home, you only had an hour off and if it was your time to supervise you had time for SFA, let alone down time from the little bat rastards.

In case you missed it, working in kindergartens is illegal for foreigners in Taiwan. This pretty much negates your contract and therefore it probably doesn't matter too much what is or isn't written in that contract as you can't legally enforce a contract based around illegal activities.

My advice is that as a newbie in Taiwan you would be far better off seeking a fully legal position at a buxiban. You may get less hours to start off with but at least you will be legal and you can then work your way up from there.
