Stillnosheep

Yes, I always thought fascism was the funniest thing ever invented. The deaths of millions always cracks me up.

Whether you were referring to me or not is irrelevant. I think the labels of fascism, goose-stepping, jack-boots, the Falange, the NSDAP, which you have brought up in recent posts to mock people's views should be reserved for those who deserve it.

I was talking to Glenski angrynoodle. It's called humour.

And I wasn't referring to you....

but if the (jack-)boot fits......

Dear Angry.

As was patiently explained to you two pages back the references to the Falange and the NSDAP were exactly that, references to the Falange and NSDAP. Not to you or to anybody else.

You and your two pals mightily lost the argument over the role and conduct of unions in Japan and you played the baseless "you called someone a fascist" card.

So eventually I got tired and suckered into providing you with some ammunition for the, up until that point, baseless accusation.

Stupid me.

I hope that next time people find themsleves having to confront the nasty, rascist little thugs you'll put your body where your words are and show them exactly just how unamusing you really do find them.

Goodnight.

Right, stillnosheep. When the Asahi shimbun reports that the March in March is launching the civil rights movement in Japan, it is very hard not be political. That might answer part of your question there.

Much of language teaching and language planning is political, actually. But TESOL people and organizations are encouraged to ignore the political side.

Anyhow, it is great that Gimp has helped united us.

thanks

Wow. And see what happens when a few teachers come together united against a lousy management type like the Gimp?

They back down. This has been a fantastic example of how to organize at a workplace. This one is electronic, but the same elements apply at a school. All you need is few teachers (need a least 3 to form a union branch) who know their labour rights and who to stick together, and exploit the mismanagement and foolishness of an unlikeable manager. If he escaltes his nonsense it draws in more teachers, and if he backs down it shows your power.

Just a brilliant example. Thanks again Gimp for uniting us.

The key was recognising gimp for what he was: a wolf is sheeps clothing.

Under the guise of "just another English teacher" he had/has an agenda.

I've seen this type of thing many times before.

Just a final message to all you boys to let you know that this is the final posting of the Gimp on this web-site.

No, I'm not running away with my tail between my legs. And no it is not because of the inane name calling my opponents have sunk to lately when they can't refute my arguments.

MOD EDIT.

I know that a majority of posters on this web-site don't agree with a lot of what I say. Now you can have it all to yourself.

See you.

It goes to show that honesty and unity can smoke out the agenda-driven trolls hiding behind the guise of "just another English teacher concerned about other EFL teachers."
