Just a couple of quick question. The first and most important is "How acceptable are tattoo's in Thailand?" The second question I have is "Are there any spots anyone can recommend for new ink in Southern Thailand?"

Pretty acceptable, but I wouldn't show them of to much or have them where they're easily seen....although I do know teachers here that do get away with it.

Remember the more you look like a teacher, the more you'll be accepted as a teacher.

Well, never stopped me getting a job per se but most of my students thought I was a mafia guy. Thailand wasnt as bad as China though where I had to cover the damn thing with plasters EVERY day.

One of the teachers at my school has some Chinese characters tattooed on her forearm. She always has it covered while she is at school. I guess the school has told her to do this.

I got inked in Phuket this time last year from a Thai friend who used to own a tattoo parlour on Karon beach Phuket. What he did was a great piece of art, I went to him with my 'idea' and he did the design, it looks rustic and old/faded tho only now 12 months old. I still have his number, so if your down Phuket way email me at [email protected]
Cheers,
C
