There seem to be multiple TEFL internation sites.

http://www.teflcourse.com/

http://teflintl.com/

http://www.teflcourse.net/

(Possibly others)

They have different layouts, different contact e-mail addresses, the content is largely the same, but there are some differences,

Is there a definitve TEFL international site? And are they all run by the same people? Does it matter which one I use to inquire about their Thai TEFL programs?

Thanks!

I'd guess one is as good as the other,

but if in doubt, I'd use this one:

TEFL Int'l has many websites and some that don't identify them as TEFL Int'l. One is the Boots 'n All website TEFL page - and the other is the
http://www.culturalextremes.com/index.htm made to look like a "volunteer" website - but in fact requires taking their course and paying for it - first.

Great marketing strategy! Slick, commercial, but perhaps - uh, misleading.

I think this outfit must sell 'licences' of some sort that allow a number of individuals to set up websites and try to recruit people into the program. Not that there's anything wrong with that if it's true -- it seems like a quality certificate.

However, when I was in the market for a certification, I found that they were really slow in answering queries -- and strangely enough, I'd ask one person a question, never hear from them, then later get a sales pitch from someone else -- maybe I applied at the wrong time of year or something. I ended up doing the CELTA at ECC -- and I can highly recommend it.

Yeah, I was wondering if all those e-mail addresses went to different folks and if anyone of them would be better to query than the others.

Yeah they also seem to be franchising the PELT out to other 'providers' it seems.

They've actually got a few more than those listed on here, strange!

Yes, just marketing agents running different websites.

If you ever fail to get a response to an Email just contact me. I always respond in 24 hours or less.
