Hey guys, I was just wondering as I am a curious kinda guy (and some mates are talking about coming to Japan to work for one of the big 4!!) Where are you most likely to be placed? What are the chances of a company like AEON or NOVA placing you in a place like Kyoto, Kobe, Sapporo, Hirosima etc!?

From what I've heard, it's hit and miss. It all depends on when you go out and how that corresponds with schools that are losing a teacher. Say you go out there at a time when a Kyoto school needs a teacher, then you're in with a chance, but there's no way of knowing when or which schools need teachers when you apply. Complete lottery. |

with nova -- schools in all areas are desparate for teachers, but the company isn't recruiting enough (money problems). but yeah, you'd have a good chance of getting the place you wanted if you asked for it. |
