So is it possible to secure a job before arrival?
Almost impossible to secure a TEFL job especially if you're young and have little experience. |
Really? I'm feeling kind of discouraged. I'm 22, but I have a bachelor's (not in English, though) and I'm planning on getting certified when arriving in Buenos Aires. Is Buenos Aires not the best place to started in this field? |

galacticmisfit: I think he meant before arriving. If you come at the right time of year (which I didn't), it's like shooting fish in a barrel. |

If you come in February or March, you will find tons of work. I came in September and still found lots of work, but I was pretty well-qualified. And I wasn't in Capital. |

So far, you're the only one to reply to my message. A while back, Guy Cortesne (SP) gave me several email addresses of people to contact in regard to apartments. Of course, I'm pursuing information via other websites but have found a lot of useful information on this one.
I know the wisest move for me would be to visit there to get a handle on BA, neighborhoods, etc.
Anyway, thanks for your comment and am always open to further comments and suggestions you or anyone may find useful. |
