Does anyone know any good websites/air companies where you can buy flights originating in Colombia that go to the US? I m looking to buy a one way flight home. Thanks!

I flew from Bogota to Ft. Lauderdale on Avianca and found it to be quite reasonable - about $425 including taxes, round trip. They also fly to LA, Miami, and NYC. I'm not sure how their one-way tickets are priced. My boyfriend had to buy a round trip ticket although he was only intending to use it one-way.

My favorite trick is using www.orbitz.com

You can't actually book a SA to US flight on there, but if you search opposite of your destinations, then you can find the best prices.

For example, if I want to go from Bogota to Miami, I'd use Orbitz, but search for flights from Miami to Bogota.

I just searched there and found the following deals for one way Miami to Bogota (all include applicable fees and taxes)-

LAN AIR - $199 US
Aeropostal - $288 US
LACSA - $334 US
Avianca $411 US

Once I see what works for me I contact the airline directly to book.

Since LAN Air shows the best rates, I can also say I've used them before and always found their planes comfortable and service excellent. Their web site is www.lan.com they also have a very good frequent flyer program
