Hey:

Yeah, I was staitioned in Czaplinek in the Peace Corps not too far from there. I rode there on my bike and took the bus now and then. It is a former "secret" Soviet army base that is now a bonified town. It still has the strange layout of a military base with the gates/guard shacks now shops. There is not too much to do there (another small town on the banks of the river Styx ) but there are pleny of lakes in the area to go to. Some nice towns in the area include Czplinek, Sczeczinek, Kolobrzeg, Koszalin,and the big city Sczeczin. Hope this helps!
