Does anyone know anything about any latin dance classes in the city? Preferably cheap ones (or rather, just normal priced ones) not geared towards gringos.

Hola,
I'm assuming you're in BsAs.... Azucar has 2 styles of salsa, merengue and belly dancing lessons that go for about $7 pesos a lesson, M-F. One is on Gallo and Corrientes (Line B, accross-ish from Abasto). Another one is on Cabildo off Line D, Congresso de Tucuman). They have a website, just google it.
I used to go on Tuesday evenings and the students were usually Argentine and the instructors spoke only Spanish.
No details for tango lessons for you, sorry.

I live in Almagro and have been going to a place that I like about 2 blocks away. Its called Sendas del Sol at Lambere 990 (alt. Corrientes 4600) they have a web site www.sendasdelsol.com.ar. Classes are 3-4 pesos an hour and i have been taking a fun Brazilian one. They have alot of other classes.
