Hola

I am coming to CR (Heredia) on the 20 th June. After doing some research on home stays I think another option is to house share. I have just been looking on some real estate web sites and have come across some good prices to rent. 3 beds around $400 approx.
I have never been to CR before so as a 26 year old single female from the UK this may be a naive idea. If anyone is interested or has any hints or tips let me know.

Thanks Kate

Personally, i would never rent a house here before seeing it and finding out exactly what is included.

You will want to check out the neighbourhood the buses available from that area and how close it is to your place of employment.

Some places can look great on the internet and when you see them , theyre real holes or in extremely skanky neighbourhoods. What bills are included can make a big difference to. Some landlords can show the same hydro bill to 4 different tenants and collect from them all. Its best to know what the charges should be from someone whos lived here a while.

Also if youre going to share....who with? Sometimes youre lucky and get a great housemate, but it can go the opposite too . I would think it would be best to be here then meet some co workers after you have a job and then test out the possibility of homesharing.

I would suggest a homestay or renting a small furnished apt. until you get settled find work and know what area you want to live in.

and thats me umble opinion Rolling Eyes
cheers
d.
