Granted, 2-3 days for me is more than enough. The Third Riech simply would'nt allow that nonesense back home. It simply warms my heart to see it, the world is a betta place for it...'nuff said.

What a dangerous, freaky holiday.

Lots of motorcycle crashes?

Seems dangerous - is it?

Like any holiday here or at home there is many road fatalities. But don't forget the moped/motobike to a Thai is the equivalent to the family sedan back home. This skews the motobike fatality stats.
Yes, at times Songkarn is dangerous but I like the edge to that danger, to me its refreshing to see that looseness/wildness that we simply don't see in our big nose countries.

Hahaha! - you can certainly separate the newcomers and neverbeens from the been-there-too-longs by mentioning Songkran; the former thinking 'what great fun', the latter, 'oh hell, April already?'

Songkran.... the ideal time of the year to stay indoors and write copious letters to aunts you had almost forgotten existed!

It is my idea of hell.....crazed, drunk Thai men on a water warpath....

Glad I am here in the relative calm of Sierra Leone.

^ Yeah, you're right ...

but don't forget the poo-ying in wet T-shirts.

I strive to look for the positive side in all endeavours.
