Laughing i know a lot of people don't like kimchi, but a lot of those people grew up on Mcdonald's...to each his own anyway. Smile

I worked at McD which had the very beneficial side-effect of keeping me from ever eating there again Smile But yeah, fair point. I used to like kimchi when I first had it but 900 meals later it's charms faded...oh well.

This is getting too surreal for me- I'll chime in with my poetic offerings when the effects of whatever they slipped in my coffee wear off...

In the meantime, are you guys confusing "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" with "Alice's adventures in Wonderland?"

If not, I'm way confused..."Sophie's World," by the way, isn't really a version of anything- It's been compared to "Alice" frequently because it features a youngish girl in incomprehensible circumstances, but it's a pretty original work, not really a remake...

Best,
Justin

What JT is trying to say
Is that you may have been led astray
Lewis Carrol wrote not Oz
And this was because
He wrote nothing but "Alice" all day

But then on the other hand
There is more you must understand
Oz was written by Baum, L. Frank
So it's him you should thank
For that wonderful, magical land.

(YAY, my thread is back! Laughing )

A perpetual travel once told me
(As that fellow J. Trullinger had proclaimed boldly)
That I had confused Oz
With the Wonderland Carrol knows

And for this I remain greatful
For my epic is chugging along with syllables by the bucketful
At last count them words exceeded 2200
(Yes, with prepositions counted)
And who would'a thunk it?
I'm gearing up to double it. Twisted Evil (Mwhaaaahhaaa!)

Children, for something to qualify as a Limerick, it must have a strict 5 line structure, and a standard meter, or rhythm.
Few of you are writing limericks. Most of it is drivel.

A limerick must be like so.
A format that none of you know.
There must be a rhyme,
And a structure of time,
With a last line that simply must flow.

Simple, really.

True statements you probably made
But of them we are not afraid,
We are just having fun
So grandpa petergunn
Go rain on someone else's parade.

Not bad....but "Go rain on another's parade" would scan better.

I babble and I post
Between bites of roast
I do it perhaps the most
Raving from coast to coast
Of this I can certifiably boast
