How common are summer camp ESL programs in Asia? Is there a lot of work for someone looking to teach for two months or so in this capacity? |

Hi Guy,
The westgate job in Japan (posted on the international job board here) sounds pretty good. It's only two months and pays well. I know of a friend in Japan who taught at a summer camp for three days + one day of training and got paid nearly $600 USD. You really have to have an inside link for a gig like that though.
I have a couple months left on my working visa in Japan and I'm trying to decide whether to go back or head to S. Korea. But hey, all the teachers on the Mexico job forum sound well cool! |

Yeah, to answer your original question, there are tons of English summer camps in Asia in major demand of teachers. There's the AVL camp in Taiwan, tons of summer positions in China, Thailand, Japan, and so on....you could probably bounce around Asia for three months just teaching at different summer camps. |

Extremely common. Well, particularly in Korea. |
