Hi all! i'm new to this! I'm planning on working all through the summer till when I leave. I am going to get TEFL certified in Manuel Antonio and i had two questions... I was originally thinking of getting certified in November and then looking for work in December, knowing that the school year doesn't begin till mid january..is that a smart move? I could wait it out till december/ january to get certified and then look for work...What's the best move?

hi

i have friends who went to that school in manuel antonio, i was actually just there this weekend. i love it there!

that course seems really pricey though and if you plan to stick around the coastal areas you prob wont find a job for more than $4/hr.. i was so set on working on the coast when i came and realized that i wouldnt be able to survive there. soi live in the central valley and go away on weekends.

when school start all depends on what type of school you want to work in. im a elementary teacher so i was interested in working at a real school... whch start end of jan/ begining of feb. language schools however are on going... and are always hiring in the central valley but since the coast is pretty much all tourests there arent many language schools and its really tough to find a job.

hope this helps! let m eknow if i can help you out with anything else!

irene
