On just a cursory look it seems similar to the way the PNET scheme is supposed to work.
Teachers co-plan a unit of lessons based on the language items to be taught and the methods and materials to be used. The lessons are then taught by the teachers themselves or co-taught with the NET. The lessons are then evaluated. Various forms of formative assessment methods are suggested for assessing the performance of the students and the results of this assessment used to drive future teaching.
PD sessions on co-planning/co-teaching and evaluation are used to inform teachers of the rationale behind the process. |
