Ouch Denise, she got you. Looks like someone needs to work on people skills around the office, sort of reflects in your posting, too. Did you notice I said hello and good luck to you? But you sort of blanked me.

Happy friday and let us know how things go you two.

Enjoy,
s

Subtle? On a worldwide public forum? On a thread that your colleague might be reading?

That was the point, actually. Alert the teacher without betraying the students. And this is actually an anonymous forum. With very few exceptions, nobody knows anybody here. In the future, I will do absolutely nothing. It's just not worth it trying to find the right balance. Forget it! Evil or Very Mad

Sweetsee--sorry, but I am really confused by your two posts.

Don't worry Denise you had a problem looked for advice from your peers and got slammed for it- I don't get it your point seemed valid and interesting to me.
sweetsie-fallen off the wagon have you my dear? looking at last nights drunken posts thru' a hangover haze? No big deal, a big hug.

Thanks, slaqdog! Very Happy That cheered me up.

Never realized my post would backfire the way it did... Oh well. What's done is done.

Sweetsee--no worries! I will disregard. But still, I don't quite understand what it is that I am disregarding! Happy Friday.

Awww. If we just get a little more communicative, we'll all need a group hug!

But in the meantime- I guess I can see the point; by posting online, Denise may have felt that she could get it out in the open without having an awkward conversation and possibly compromising her sources, as it were.

I can see why Naturegirl felt a little blindsided and offended to get it in public rather than in private though. ALthough nobody else could have know who was being talked about until she choose to disclose this.

Sweetsee, you're the one who finally lost me, though I think I get it now. You guys all know each other, right?

Okay, this post was just for me- I think better when I'm writing, and couldn't seem to follow what was going on with this thread.

Happy weekend, everybody,

Justin

My problem Denise is I always say nice things and you always diss me.
Like in this thread:

"Hi Denise,

That was me from before and this was the best advice I received:
"let it be unless it has a direct result on your teaching or remuneration."

Good luck and enjoy yourself,
s"

I said hello using your name,
I offered advice,
I mentioned your mentioning my previous thread; implying our association,
I wished you luck,
asked you to enjoy yourself
and closed with my initial.
You replied with a "Thanks Guys".
So, when your colleague mentioned that
you two didn't get along I thought about
my colleague at work who can't
even say hello to me.

My point is that I met you when I first came here two years ago. When I say met, what I mean is that I always said Hi and tried to be familiar but feel you never reciprocated. Anyway, I was trying to be mean and don't mean it.

Enjoy your weekend,
s

P.S. Thanks slaq. Haven't picked up but have been missing meals and sleep lately--stressed out. At the time of those posts I couldn't sleep past 2 a.m. and found out yesterday that a dear friend passed Wednesday.
Thanks for the hug, much needed. Be safe.

If it were me I wouldn't have liked the internet approach either. People need to talk to each other more and are you sure the students claims are valid or is it just a transition period?

Teachers unite! But as we've seen all too often they don't. They tend to go native or isolate themselves. Rolling Eyes Wonder why.

I heard that Nomadder, so true.
Think my young colleague is having a name change(attempted humor).
Guess you have to know the jumping-off point in terms of
cultural assimilation.

Yeah, I realize now that my "solution" sucked. Oooops. Oh well. I tried.
