Looks like we'll be heading East next year, and I need to start learning the local language.
Any distance Russian courses that anyone can recommend? I tried googling some unis in Russia and Ukraine, but I thought I'd ask here first. 
Also, would looking at Latvia and Lithuania for courses be a good idea?
Or should I just get me "Teach Yourself Russian" and do it alone?  |

I can't help with the online courses, but if you literally mean "Teach Yourself Russian" published by Hodder&Stoughton with book and 2 CD's I can highly recommend it.
I've taught myself a fair bit with it, though it suits me because I favour phrase work, not word lists and grammar explanations. |
