Anyone from The Pier ? As in Whitney Pier ? Probably pushing my luck with that one.
Dear Shonai: The economy ? Last year I went home for the Summer willing to take anything under the sun, and I had the most humiliating interview for a lousy call center, but I still wonder if I shouldn't have stayed. I've really gotten into Cape Breton culture-since leaving there.I'm putting around with material for a book about Cape Breton. I miss the drives over the Trail, going fishing around Mira, and bloody fresh air. And I've never seen so many people over here in Beijing, I think there's more people here than...you name it.
Do any of you miss home ? Will you ever go back ?
Cheers
A nice cold Keiths and a dozen lobsters, or vice versa |
I did the call center interview too.No thanks.
I miss the Keiths, the lobster and the smell of the Bay of Fundy.A good feed of clams or mussels would be nice too,but that's about all I miss.
Won't be back... |

Also heard that many NB teachers go to China as they have adopted the NB curriculum.
Hey Shonai if you don't go back to NS will you go to another part of Canada or another country? Which side of the Fundy do you like?
Yes VG it was you. I had to log off in a hurry yesterday. Check your mail today. |

No plans to leave Japan at the moment...but Thailand would be next if I leave.Don't really think that will happen though.
I used to spend a lot of summers at the family cottage on the Minas Basin...just an hour from Truro.
Nomadder are you still in Nova Scotia or am I confused?....wouldn't be the first time. |

What is your point? Are you implying that Maritimers have a speech impediment of some kind? |

| Just like that, and it was very very good. I have a picture of me eating it, but unfortunately I don't know how to put it in this post. |
