I'm thinking of doing a p/t DELTA at IH Krakw next academic year. Is it any good? How would it help my career here? How would it count towards an MA? Could I use it to teach in secondary or higher education?
Is that enough questions? |

Good question.
As far as I know it's a diploma and it's good if you want to be a DOS or work for the British Council.
I've never wanted either.
But I think it would good to take if you've been teaching for a few years and you feel like you've seen and done it all.
You do have your CELTA, don't you? |

Is it any good? YES it is a Cambridge Diploma...
How would it help my career here? What do you want to do with your career? Ados DoS or senior teacher. The input would help all three, the piece of paper would improve your employability
How would it count towards an MA? Only as background knowledge you would not need to learn on the MA or as a teaching component it would be useful for an MA which diid not have this, which is a recently desirable thing to have for many MA grads in the ESOL field of teaching in FE coleges in the UK
Could I use it to teach in secondary Only in EAL, or higher education? YES
Is that enough questions? No! you should have asked about where i could find info on jobs in secondary and Fe and HE.

| I visited Krakow in January, and IH there told me there isn't a DELTA running there this year. Wroclaw still is, however. |
