Hi everyone
I have just been offered a job with a company called ESDC Austria. They operate camps for kids in Austria and Germany. I am able to find very little information about this company, only their website. I haven't been able to see what former employees have had to say. Does anybody have any experience working for ESDC or know anybody or stories about anybody that has?? Do any of you know what kind of reputation the company has? Any information at all would be appreciated
Thanks

Hi Barb. I have been looking at summer positions in Austria while my gf works on her thesis in Vienna. If you have arrived, begun or learned more please let me know. I am interested.
Cheers

I live in Austria and I have never heard anything about this company.
Howerver, I can't imagine a company in Austria being unprofessional or trying to cheat you. They really have to stick to the letter of the law here. |

Hi,
as above if the company in in Austria, you can be pretty sure they are a legitimate group. This group is located in both Austria and Germany. Talk to them to guage the pros and cons of the offer, then make your decision.
Summer camp jobs will provide you in all likelihood with a liveable wage and no doubt satisfaction but will not make you a fortune. Judge what you need to live and what you will enjoy doing. If you commit to ESDC remember you are not only making a commitment to them for the Summer but also the kids. SO if you have any doubts about the company and feel you may leave before the end, it would be better to leave it.
One final point would be - you have an offer, ask the company to give you some names of previous employees who would be willing to give you feedback. They are interested in you, so this should not be a big issue.
Best regards

I accepted a job ESDC for germany and the Austria this summer and like amengl stated the pay is not much but I figured it will be worth it getting to work with kids which I love and experience Germany and Austria for three months. |
