That's very generous of you Baba.
(Although Golighty, I'm shocked. You really should do something about your subject verb agreement.)

For secondhand bookshops try the passage that is on the road off Istiklal that goes down to The British Consulate-the passage is between that road and Cicek passage.

Also Sahaflar Carsisi which is by Istanbul Uni in Beyazit-which is a 15 min walk from Sultanahmet.

There are heaps of second hand book stores over in Kadiky. If it is second hand (or copied) teaching books that you're looking for, then Akmar passage in Kadiky is great. It is behind the PTT in the Balık pazar area. By the way, Doğa is great. It is up in the hills in Beykoz. The kids get to feed and look after the zoo of animals. They also have their own little gardens where they grow veggies and herbs. There is a pool, tennis/basketball courts, football ground and the most fab of all, horses. Though, l think the emu and camel are pretty cool, too. Now, if that doesn't float your boat, then there are the lovely forested hills surrounding the school.
