Does anybody have any information on teaching in Brunei. I stopped there on the way to Taiwan once and thought it was a great country and wouldn't mind teaching there at some stage. However I never see any information about it. Anyone know anything? |

Centre for British Teachers (CfBT) had a big contract for Brunei. I do not know if they hire those who are unfortunate enough to be non-British. |

Good place to work. CfBT are good employers despite some of the posts in the Job Information Journal. Not all accurate by the way, there are plenty of single parents here. Teaching can be great, can be awful, depends where you are posted. You get OK salary, big house, education allowance for your kids etc. Booze is no problem, easy to get either through "suppliers" or you can bring in an allowance from Malaysia. Not everybody's cup of tea but then where is? |
