| now V_G, dear, if you don't understand the appeal of donairs obviously you have never stumbled up Spring Garden Road with a skinfull! and truly the donairs are better in Halifax than the shwarma in Muscat or elsewhere in the Gulf |

| Presumably doner kebabs - the name's Turkish (dner - to turn), in England it's pronounced "donner" and the sellers are mostly Greek Cypriots. In the Arab world, they're called shawarma. I'll leave it to someone else to describe them. |

No no no, donairs are something entirely found in just the Maritimes. What I had was called donor in Muscat, shwarma meat with a sweet garlic sauce. The best donair since I left Halifax, but still not a donair. It has it's orgins in shwarma and donor kebabs, etc, but in the end the donair is entirely East Coast Canada baby.
And Spring Garden????? dude, Pizza Corner has the best donairs. |

Speaking of pizza.I would rather have a thick crust pizza from Vern's than a donair...never really liked donairs.
Is Vern's Pizza still open? That was along time ago,I'm afraid. |

| Was Brad the one who went to Halifax Grammer? I saw them twice in concert, once when I was in junior high and they were still called Sunfish and once at Dalhousie. They weren't bad. |
