Hola!
Well, I am now currently unemployed, and looking for work, probably for February or before. I personally, want to move back to Hangzhou, it is a big city, it's clean, the people are cool by and large and I have some ties and friendships there. eally, I should of never left.
My Chinese wife wants to go to Beijing. I have never been to Beijing and know little about it. I know its the capitol, I know that its huge (12 million or twice the size of Hangzhou), and have heard both that the local people were good, and that they are Korean like jerkoffs. I know the weather is cold as dung in the winter. I know that it is expensive.
I have a friend there that I have not seen in 1 1/2 years (Chinese). I want to see her and check out the city. How much does it cost to live there? How much will a decent clean apartment run? Is there plenty of opportunities for privates there, or other employment? What's the scoop?

Hola to you senor!
You might like to take a look at the China off-topic section where I recently made a comment or two about Beijing in the thread "Don't bother coming to Beijing!" This focuses on two negatives, but there are many good things about Beijing too... just having trouble thinking what they are at the moment... Oh yeah... a bit of culture and history, beautiful girls (your girl should dig that!) and a reasonably lively nightlife. |
